Oral Surgery – Oral surgery includes surgery related to the teeth, mouth, and jaw. Oral surgery can be used to correct issues like impacted teeth, tooth loss, and temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ). Our office offers general and local anesthetic to help our patients stay as comfortable as possible during treatment.

 

Wisdom teeth removal – Wisdom teeth generally develop in young adults around age 16-23. Wisdom teeth may become impacted, meaning the teeth are unable to grow in normally and may not break through the gums. This can cause pain and increase the risk of infection, resulting in the need for extraction.  

 

Implants – Dental implants replace natural teeth and can last a lifetime if properly cared for. Because implants are not movable, they allow for easier eating and speech than dentures. Implants are a convenient solution for patients looking to improve their smile.

 

Sedation Options- IV Sedation: Whitehall Oral Surgery suggests IV sedation for patients who require extensive dental surgery. Patients under IV sedation will be unconscious during their treatment. Sedation is administered by a qualified nurse anesthetist.

 

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is ideal for anxious patients or patients who are unable to receive treatment without gagging. While on nitrous oxide, the patient remains fully conscious but feels a sense of relaxation. To receive nitrous oxide, the patient must be able to breathe through their nose.
